How destiny works!

In depth knowledge, innovative ideas, professional education and hard efforts - if you think these things will take you to the peak of success then probably you have missed to understood how good karma or human destiny works. Human success hardly depends on the aforesaid factors - it completely depends upon the good things you have done in your past lives – and that is clearly visible in anybody’s horoscope.

Here are few real life incidents that made me believe that being a good student at school or a hardworker at corporate offices can never fetch you bonus points to be successful in life.

Srinivas, was a close friend of mine from my 3rd standard. He was average at curriculum, and was once badly beaten up by the teacher for being honest. Our exams were on, and our headmistress walked into our hall saying whoever has got some chits or copy material, come and drop here. She promised that she would not punish the students who honestly drop it. Srinivas took her words very seriously - he went and dropped the copy material he had brought with him with utmost confidence. And rest is history. He could not write his other exams due to swollen knuckles. Srinivas was the only student, who failed in our 10th grade. He passed out with average marks the next year, did his 12th, joined his degree course where he failed again. Enough was enough. He didn’t have enough energy to pursue his formal education. He borrowed Rs 20,000 from his father, and got a fake certificate from Bihar University. He bought a computer, studied Visual Basics himself, moved to Singapore and now he is happily settled in the US as a software professional - earning much more than any bugger who slogged his ass to score distinction in the 10th grade.

Bipin is a 6’2” tall Indian hunk, who joined 4 TOP coaching classes in Mumbai for 10th standard and could manage to pass out with 52 percent of marks. He moved to Orissa to do his 11th and 12th, and was blessed to face cricketer Debasis Mohanty in one of the cricket matches. They were college mates in Maharishi College, Orissa. Bipin could not pass his 12th, and hence moved to Mumbai to try his luck there. He got a Yamaha 350 CC bike, which used to give 16 kms/litre, and his lifestyle had become really interesting after he got his bike. He rested the whole day, could dress up like a Bollywood star, take his bike in the evening, and go for BIRD watching. And he did this for 4 years, and yet had to pass his 12th std. He joined hands with Srinivas, borrowed Rs 20,000 from his father, went to the same person who issued fake certificate, and passed out with distinction. Today he is on his own, has tied up with Mumbai’s top Hyundai showrooms, and makes at least a lakh per month.

These are few examples, which clearly say that your education, your career and the amount of money you would make are MOSTLY unrelated. And that it all depends on the ‘Raj Yog’ or luck for prosperity you are blessed with in your horoscope.

Saturn transit & its effect on Corporate Lives!

If an astrologer can know the future, why can’t he win a jackpot? If an astrologer knows when he is going to die, why can’t he escape death? And if an astrologer knows everything about his own life, why can’t he become a millionaire? There are few common questions that are posted to an astrologer by few supposedly intelligent people. The answer is simple – astrology depends on the law of destiny, and even astrologers are born with a set of karmic limitations.

An astrologer can succeed in helping a person to make millions in the Stock market but he himself can fail in the same experiment, as his own chart won’t help him with the same amount of money.

You might get a lot of marketing gyaan and business ideas from a MBA HOD, which might work in your case but not his. His job is just to guide you with the best guidance and rest lies on the seeker’s destiny and God’s plan.

Technically the planet Shani (Saturn) is moving into Cancer (sign) in September 2004, this surely will bring in a lot of changes in individual’s life. If you ask me if the change will reflect in each and everyone’s life, then the answer is YES! Whoever is reading this blog will have a change in his/her life. Change doesn’t mean that you will buy a new pair of shoes or you will finally get a new underwear. The change I am talking is about love, marriage, career, and money.

Shani changes its house every 2½ years, and it has immense importance in astrology compared to other transits.

Based on this technique I had predicted 6 months before that lot of people will be leaving my present organization…and so far 8 have already left that is including my Vice President. And few more will leave by this year-end, and that remains a prediction.

Interestingly the effect of Shani transit starts before 3 months of the real event. It affects individual lives based on the house and planets it is going to transit.

My best friend Chota Rajan is getting married on September 8th, as predicted.

Muthu puts down is paper for a better opportunity, as predicted.

Of course, there were few wrong predictions done by me too. But it is all about consistency, and except God none is perfect!

And here is a prediction for myself. Probably this could be the first time when an astrologer is predicting for himself. Shani transit will decide how successful I will be in my new avatar as a professional astrologer, and by God’s grace I will really succeed.

There are 5 important phases an astrologer goes through during his astro career

1) When he voluntarily goes to his friends/relatives/colleagues to get their details and does a reading for them
2) People come on their own after seeing few predictions coming true
3) Existing clients refer to their friends and relatives
4) People start paying for the consultation
5) An astrologer can have his own consultation rates

At present I am in the 3rd phase, and always would love to avoid the 5th phase.

When I was called a fake!

A couple of months back one of my friends (a girl) who also is my astrology client accused me of being a fake astrologer. And I knew she was serious and not joking. It seems her friends told her that I didn’t know anything about astrology, and that I read charts to impress the girls and later take them for a coffee!

These kind of baseless charges against astrologers aren’t new. It happens and this kind of accusations is the toughest thing for any astrologer to digest.

It is not that all the astrologers have succeeded in controlling their sexual prowess, nor it could be true if I say that they don’t feel attracted towards their clients. After all astrologers are human beings with the same hormonal functionalities.

The relationship between astrologer and his clients can be compared to any doctor-patient relationship. Of course women open up to a very large extent to both astrologers and doctors, and also there are plenty of chances for both (astro and the doc) of them to use the situation in their favour. But they don’t. The first lesson I learnt from my teacher is – never sleep with your clients, as it happens to be biggest sin, which could affect your lineage! And even a fake astrologer is aware of this fact.

I usually wonder why sexual scandals are always associated with saints, astrologers and people who are into religious and spiritual activities. I know BIG Corporate organizations where people sleep around to get salary hikes and promotions, I have come across incidents where the boss and the subordinates were caught watching porn in the office and I know about people who have got warning messages from women for their sexual advancements.

One wrong example out of millions cannot illustrate the complete scenario. There are millions of saints and astrologers in India, ask yourself how many fake names do you remember?

Cynical about astrology? Probably God want you that way!

Astrology had always been a fascination for me, and thankfully I could learn it professionally 2 years back. In fact I had started predicting since childhood with my limited knowledge and had to stop reading due to a scary incident - one of my classmates died just one year after I had told him that he would die soon!

At last I managed to transfer all my blogs from rediff to askenni, and I kinda feel better now. I am happy that all my blogs will stay in my own site, and my works can be saved for generations to come! :D. Who knows they might get published too!!

Astrology had always been a fascination for me, and thankfully I could learn it professionally 2 years back. In fact I had started predicting since childhood with my limited knowledge and had to stop reading due to a scary incident - one of my classmates died just one year after I had told him that he would die soon!

In my 2 years of experience in meeting people and reading their birth charts (horoscope), I have come across few interesting kinds of people who keep me motivating without their knowledge….

People who know astrology works & whose search for prediction is honest

These people are honest, humble and give due respect to the astrologer. They don’t wait for the astrologer to prove his skill. Their question is direct and they are ready to do whatever the astrologer asks them to do. My success rate had been 95 per cent with these people.

People who think Philip Kotler is better than Gautam Buddha

These people are ignorant skeptics who happen to read all the unwanted books in life and think they are the most knowledgeable soles on the planet. They are ever ready to argue using their meager scientific knowledge and love to put down astrology and astrologers anytime. The funniest part is that none of them would have read a single book on astrology except those columns published in newspapers on weekends.

People who know astrology, works but are scared to know the future

These people keep a safe distance from the astrologers, for they know it works perfectly. I know of a woman who had hell lot of affairs with men before marriage, and that was the only fear that stopped her checking her chart before marriage. What if the astrologer comes to know about her past in front of her would be?

People who know astrology works, but think the astrologer is a fake

These people are a bit tough to be handled honestly. They keep meeting a lot of astrologers as if they are making a documentary on them. They will keep their mouth shut most of the time, and keep staring at the astrologer just to check how much per cent the astrologer is right and how much per cent he is wrong. After meeting so many astrologers, they would have a minor idea about the planetary positions of their own chart and that is most dangerous part. They will keep comparing your prediction with other astrologers and vice versa. The only thing I could tell them is ‘half-baked knowledge is more dangerous than being completely ignorant’.

People who use astrologers as a psychological pillow

These people are least bothered about their horoscope, their chart and the prediction. All they want is a good listener so that they dump all their sorrows and worries on the astrologer and walk away peacefully. Honestly I am not into that business. This is counselor’s business and not astrologer’s.

People with low IQ

These people neither believe in astrology/ astrologer nor do they trust God completely. They think they are here on their choice, and will die only when they want. They think effort is the only thing that drives life, and that destiny is all fake. They even won’t understand the difference between God and astrologer. I know of a person who asked me if you claim you can predict then tell me what is the colour of the brief I am wearing! I could only pity him.

People who know astrology works but refuse to accept it

These people need logical reasoning for everything, but are ones who keep consulting an astrologer every 3 months. They are sincere about the prediction part, but too much logic kills them. Never talk about the logical reasoning to these people you will only lose your energy.

Few innocent questions they seek answers are…

1) How can celestial planets impact terrestrial being? What is the logic?
2) Do all people born on a particular period across the globe have the similar chart? That means their fate will remain the same, right?
3) What about twins? How come their lives are different?

Astrology is driven by few important concepts like karma, dharma and the almighty. It is all decided by God whether you believe in astrology or you don’t. God runs the complete show flawlessly and astrology is just a secret code that helps in understanding human life better. And honestly God is aware when to give you ONE TIGHT SLAP and make you believe in sacred sciences.

Last and not the least, an astrologer at once understands in which pattern you fall (from the above list) but doesn’t make it an issue, because ultimately he thinks it is his profession to deal with confused souls. So the next time when you meet any astrologers try to be open, honest, humble and respectful and keep your sick logic at home!

Confused thoughts on media, science & astrology!

My college HOD once said, “what you think or do today is decided by the 10 rich people from across the globe,” and that info came as a shock to me. That golden sentence opened my senses, and made me realize how much we are influenced and how much we are programmed by the society, so that we stop thinking originally.

My college HOD once said, “what you think or do today is decided by the 10 rich people from across the globe,” and that info came as a shock to me. That golden sentence opened my senses, and made me realize how much we are influenced and how much we are programmed by the society, so that we stop thinking originally.

What we carry today on our minds is yesterday’s garbage that is published in any newspaper. We think few major topics we imbibe from other media are knowledge needed to keep ourselves abreast in the society. If you notice there isn’t anything new that happens around us. Whatever is reported has been happening for ages just that the names and places keep changing. Here is the pattern of news in any Indian newspaper…

*A political turmoil
*An election
*A plane crash
*A train mishap
*Scams & scandals
*Budget
*Sports
*Veerappan
*Assassination & Death
….and these incidents keep repeating….

And also the irony of newspapers is how much ever the incidents of the world increase - some major draught or war or terrorism - the number of pages remains constant! End of the day they need to make enough ad revenues to run their publications.

It has been seen that the media is always anti-astrology, anti-godmen and subjects that they feel doesn’t have enough scientific evidence. Media aren’t supposed to support phenomenon that could make people think out of the box. That is one of the reasons why even issues concerning to UFOs are kept undercover.

We always tend to knock the wrong doors for the right info we need. In life, we don’t go to an eye-specialist if our bone is broken or we don’t consult a gynecologist if we have a headache. Hence, it is foolish to ask scientists to tell whether astrology, a subject based on Karma and Dharma, is true or not. It would be like asking a blind man to guide us through a new route.

Astrology is divine, and is driven by faith. And I am sure science’s doesn’t have any explanations for the concepts like God and Faith. Science surely will deny the presence of someone called Shiva who is blue in colour, who rules the Himalayas, who carries goddess Ganga on his head and has snake around his neck!

Astrology is a subject that has reached its peak long back while science still is toddling towards perfection.

I am not here to debate and prove the authenticity of astrology, but if you feel astrology is completely unscientific give me your details date, place and time (perfect details) and I will tell you ONE incident that took place in your life in the PAST and that too with the year (just one incident to keep freeloaders at bay).

Oops…my prediction went wrong!

I got a call from my wife today morning telling me that one of my friends for whom I had predicted a female child has delivered a male child! That really makes me feel yuck about my astrological skills. It gives me a feeling that is exactly opposite to the ecstatic feeling that I get when my predictions come true.

That really makes me feel yuck about my astrological skills. It gives me a feeling that is exactly opposite to the ecstatic feeling that I get when my predictions come true.

There is nothing else that can make an astrologer feel bad than the numbness created when a prediction goes for a toss. But then it is all part of the growing process. I wonder what could be the aftermath of this wrong prediction and it is simple. All those people for whom I had done a prediction would start doubting…whether I was right or whether I could go wrong in their particular cases.

Personally, I am amazed at how the world is run by God with each person having his own limitations. And how even when you are blessed with the science of prediction an individual astrologer can never be 100 per cent right. Destiny rules, and I am yet to interpret the hidden messages and the incidents that are bound to take place due to this wrong prediction.

So as of now I need to prepare myself to face few sarcasm and sarcastic smiles & comments from people around. Wish me good luck.

A small story that keeps me motivated all the time (lifted from one of Osho’s books)…

There was an old man living in the outskirts of a kingdom. He lived with his son and his sole horse. He lived his life in silence, and the maximum he could speak was, “what you know is part, the whole is always hidden”.

Once the King spotted the stud horse in the wild, and approached the old man to buy it. The old man refused to sell it off even when he was offered few million gold coins. The king returned disappointed, and it was the time for the people around to do their commenting business. They said what a sick old man you are, and you could be only foolish to put down such an offer. Then old man replied, “what you know is part, the whole is always hidden.”

Few weeks later his horse while grazing brought along some 10 other horses home. Now the old man possessed 10 mighty horses, and the people thought the old man was right by not giving the horse to the king. They came to the old man to praise him, and he replied, “what you know is part, the whole is always hidden.”

The old man’s son while training the wild horses that their horse brought home falls down and breaks his leg. The injury is so severe that the son surely could not walk for a year or so. The people were back now. They said, 10 horses huh! They only made losses to you old man, now what do you say? He coolly replied, “what you know is part, the whole is always hidden”.

There was an emergency in the kingdom and, as the number of soldiers killed in the battle was high the King needed at least one person from the family to take up the ammunition and fight for the kingdom. The only people who were excluded were, people above the age of 50 and also people who are handicapped.

The people were back again. They said, even though your son is handicapped you will at least have your son beside you unlike us who have to send our children to wage war. The old man replied, “what you know is part, the whole is STILL hidden”.

Moral of the story – None can interpret the interconnectedness of life COMPLETELY!

My mom’s dog died & I had got the message!

I had got my mom a Pomeranian puppy in 1994. As we grew, my sisters and me, we moved to hostel to take up our studies. I thought a dog could really fill the vacuum my parents are going to face, and honestly it did. Ringo became a family member and my mom referred me to be his elder brother, this would sound funny for people who have never had a pet in their lives.

I thought a dog could really fill the vacuum my parents are going to face, and honestly it did. Ringo became a family member and my mom referred me to be his elder brother, this would sound funny for people who have never had a pet in their lives.

Ringo fell sick a month back, and had regained its health. Three days back I called up my mom, who stays some 800 kms away from me to ask about her health, and she said Ringo isn’t well since morning. The doc had given a dose of saline, and also had prescribed some medicine. There was sadness all across.

I hung up the phone, prayed to God just before entering my prayer room for meditation. I asked God if death has come let Ringo die in peace, let it not suffer like most other dogs suffer before they die.

I got into my prayer room, and in 15 minutes I heard a dog nearby my house howling thrice! It is an age-old superstition that a howling dog gives a death message, and it immediately struck me that Ringo is not going to survive.

I continued meditating, and I heard my phone ringing in another 10 minutes. I knew it was my father, my wife rushed to me asking my dad wanted to talk to me. I got up, and I knew what is in store. I picked up the receiver and dad in a gloomy voice said Ringo is dead!

I could not bear the pain, I said fine, and my mom came over the phone and she was crying, and her voice was trembling. I failed to console her, and I said will to you later.

I realized, when logically we know a new dog will cost only Rs 500 why do we spend some 1000s on its health? It isn’t the money, it is the love and the affection that drives human lives. My mom has yet to come out of the pain and memories Ringo has left behind. So I thought would visit my mom this weekend to share her grief

The power of number 9!

I was wondering what should I blog on today? Not that I am short of ideas, just that I am so much full that I am a bit confused which topic to select. Should I write about the missing missionary position in Vatsayana's Kama Sutra, or Indian techniques to enlarge your penis as discussed in KS, or give a jhankar version tips to woo the neighbourhood lady! Thought I will keep those topics for later, and would write something about the number 9! (No, I am not going discuss about eunuchs here. Incidentally they are referred as 9 in South India, and number 6 in North India for a simple reason that when 9 is put in reverse it looks 6 and vice versa. So, eunuchs are people who are neither 6 nor 9 somewhere in between. Both put together it is 69 oops that gives me idea for another blog :D )

So, eunuchs are people who are neither 6 nor 9 somewhere in between. Both put together it is 69 oops that gives me idea for another blog :D )

Number 9 has unique characteristics and is considered to be a very important number in numerology. People born on 9th are considered very lucky (thank god I was born on 9th), and also people whose names start or end with letters R or/and I become famous one or other way. Now why R and I? 'I' happens to be the 9th letter in English alphabet and the letter 'R' happens to be the 18th letter, which when added (18 = 1+8) gives 9!

Also the number 9 is the only number when multiplied with any number gives a result, which when added again gives 9 again. Eg 9 x 4 = 36 - 3+6 = 9…..

In adding numbers like 57687649, ignore all 9s and also make other numbers 9 by borrowing from the neighbourhood number. For ex - normally we add - 5+7+6+8+7+6+4+9 = 52 = 5+2 = 7. Now ignore 9, borrow 5 from 6 convert 4 to 9 then ignore, borrow 4 from 7 make 5 as 9 ignore, borrow 3 from 7 and convert 6 to 9 ignore, add 1 to 8 it becomes 9 again so ignore so the reminder is number 7!

The table of 9 is the easiest to be calculated using your fingers on your hand. Keep your palms open facing your eyes.

Say 1 nine za, and fold your left hand thumb, and count the remaining fingers. It is 9.
Say 2 nine za, and fold your left hand index finger, and you will find 1 on the left side of the folded finders and 8 on right side which amounts to 18.
Say 3 nine za, and fold your left hand middle finger, and you will find 2 on the left side of the folded finger and 7 on the right side, which amounts to 27.
(Teach your kid this technique, and he will never forget the table of 9 in his life)

So on so forth…..

In astrology…

*Only 9 planets are considered important (Sun, Moon, Mars, Venus, Guru, Mercury, Shani, Rahu & Ketu. Sun and Moon aren't planets scientifically, but still considered to be planets and also Rahu and Ketu are nodes scientifically called Umbra and Penumbra)
*Any rudraksha or crystal mala has 108 beads, which counts to 1+0+8 = 9
*Any mantra has to be chanted in rounds of 9 - 54 or 108 or 1008 or 10008.
*There are exactly 108 famous and BIG Shiva temples across the country.

And for all those non-believers out there who feel Indian saints frittered away their time meditating and who think they are the smartest ass around and who don't take anything without enough scientific credentials, here is some revelation. The scientific periodic table of elements on which the whole science of Chemistry rests has 108 elements, out of which few elements are yet to be discovered!

When astrologers become a laughing stock!

Mundane (prediction on major events) predictions aren’t easy. Reading personal charts doesn’t need much of guts, but to predict events for a state or country or a special event an astrologer needs to have balls of steel!

Mundane (prediction on major events) predictions aren’t easy. Reading personal charts doesn’t need much of guts, but to predict events for a state or country or a special event an astrologer needs to have balls of steel!

There are many astrologers who give perfect reasoning after the events have happened, but there are only few who come forward to predict general events before hand. The only thing an astrologer puts in stake in predicting mundane events is his credibility and reputation!

People have a tendency to directly compare the predictions given by the astrologer for general event to their personal lives. If they come true, they are relived and if they don’t they are the first to criticize the astrologer. Remember criticism always reaches faster than appreciation.

Few problems which most good astrologers are subjected to when a prediction goes wrong -

*Close relatives and dear ones will mince no word in criticizing them
*Colleagues and friends will laugh on their face
*Old clients will make them a laughing stock

So, what happens when an astrologer’s prediction comes true? Nothing. People will remain SILENT, waiting for an opportunity when the astrologer goes wrong again!

It is sometimes funny that, astrology is the only area where 100 per cent perfection is expected. None will raise a point when a Corporate fails to reach its target with all those supposedly BIG brains from the IIMs, none will criticize the doctor (US return) when the patient dies unexpectedly, none will raise a finger when the exit polls formatted by our own Pranoy Roys goes for a toss!

Divine sciences like Astrology, Ayurveda etc are always under criticism that too MORE from Indians (the founders) themselves. No wonder Ayurveda has moved to the US and has flourished into a multi-million dollar industry!

Astrology as any other science cannot be 100 per cent perfect, and there are few areas where real research is required to attain perfection.

And as far as balls of steel are concerned, I would like to be listed with those astrologers who have come forward to predict real events taking criticism and failure as a stepping-stone towards SUCCESS!

Got a question for me about your life? Post your question with your date, place and time of birth in the comment box!
