The abstract concept called ‘virginity’ – part 1!

All of us form our opinions and thoughts based upon the people we meet in our lives, the books we read, the knowledge we gain from various sources, the personal experiences we have in our lives and the environment we are subjected to. As rightly said by one of the yet to be famous authors that opinions are like as****e, every one has got one. I too have something to share based upon the 200 friends I have made, few 1000 clients, and few 100 acquaintances. Thanks to the film star Khusboo to have brought up the issue, which has now become a national debate. After solving issues related to poverty successfully in India, the politicians have started to solve the premarital sex issue!

Personally I never liked Khusboo as an actress, but in this particular case I support her completely. Of course not because that she has said something right, but because she has all the right to express what she feels is right. Khushboo has been a field where people have to sleep with producers, directors, and actors to make their mark in the industry. If she had said, “most film stars have premarital sex”, then I am sure she would have never got into any controversy. Instead she said, “most Tamil women have premarital sex.” What Khushboo said is a general statement, and premarital sex is an individual decision.

Another story of Khusboo I have been told was (no evidence available to prove), she took a flat worth few crores from actor Sivaji Ganeshan to walk away from Prabhu’s life. Tomorrow she cannot say that, Tamil people take flats from the guy’s father to walk away from their son’s life. I have watched a hidden camera movie clip of Khusboo changing costume (have proof for the same), and again she cannot say that, Tamil people don’t mind being shot nude!

There were many blogs written on pre-marital sex, and the same topic was discussed on rediff.com too. And ironically most of them had confused premarital sex with loss of virginity, which is not the case MOST of the times!! I base my debate on people who I keep meeting in my life, and the people who have opened up their secret lives to me.

Before I get onto the topic tomorrow, here is the dictionary meaning of virgin and virginity

To be continued….
