Sentiments, Omens & Superstitions � part 2
Good time, astrologically, is when with less effort you achieve more results, and bad time is when you attain very less success even after 100 per cent struggle. There are two ways in which you can lead your life � one by surrendering to the existence, and another by putting effort. People who surrender to the existence always tend to get messages & signs through divine intervention which guide them & help them many a times. And people who put effort generally ignore these signs � in any case the outcome remains the same. Just that the former knows the outcome beforehand � hence the dejection is less, and the latter comes to know it much later � hence the disappointment is really high!
Here is the list of few omens & what they convey.
When you walk out of your house for an �important� event�
*Check out who comes in the opposite direction when you step out � stop or delay going out if you see a dhobi (washer man/washerwoman), a widow, a single Brahmin (one who performs puja in temple), and a man/woman with folded hands or head down.
*Milkman/milk woman, 2 or more Brahmins together, married women, children, & cow are really good signs, while stepping out.
*Dropping your house keys or vehicle keys just while locking your house or starting your vehicle is a bad sign. You either delay, pray or get into your house and have a glass of water and then go out.
*Don�t enter your home once you have stepped out. It if is really important & urgent � go back sit for 5 minutes, drink a glass of water and then move out.
*Cat crossing your way is a bad sign, but you need not bother if it happens to be your pet.
When you talk about an important subject
*If the current goes off if you are starting to talk about a new business deal or an important decision about life � it is bad sign. You either stop the conversation or stop the decision you had taken.
*If lizards make sound when you are talking about some positive event, it is a good sign. The event will take place soon � like that of marriage, career shift, purchase of house et al
*Ringing of bells is also a good sign � like your clock, temples bells, or someone pressing you calling bell.
Disharmony at home
*Never allow children to play with the door latch (thappal in Tamil). This will create fights among family members.
*Breaking of any glass material on Tuesdays & Fridays is a bad sign. This will create unrest at home.
*Tortoise/turtles entering your house will lead to bad luck & change of residence (this came true for me twice).
*Death of pets will lead to major changes on the home front.
Other important omens
*Cockroaches seen flying in unusual places will bring news of death.
*Dogs howling facing the moon will bring bad news and news of death.
*Crow cawing outside your house will bring in guests & relatives.
*Dreams of death of close people are usually a good sign.
