When astrologers become a laughing stock!

Mundane (prediction on major events) predictions aren’t easy. Reading personal charts doesn’t need much of guts, but to predict events for a state or country or a special event an astrologer needs to have balls of steel!

Mundane (prediction on major events) predictions aren’t easy. Reading personal charts doesn’t need much of guts, but to predict events for a state or country or a special event an astrologer needs to have balls of steel!

There are many astrologers who give perfect reasoning after the events have happened, but there are only few who come forward to predict general events before hand. The only thing an astrologer puts in stake in predicting mundane events is his credibility and reputation!

People have a tendency to directly compare the predictions given by the astrologer for general event to their personal lives. If they come true, they are relived and if they don’t they are the first to criticize the astrologer. Remember criticism always reaches faster than appreciation.

Few problems which most good astrologers are subjected to when a prediction goes wrong -

*Close relatives and dear ones will mince no word in criticizing them
*Colleagues and friends will laugh on their face
*Old clients will make them a laughing stock

So, what happens when an astrologer’s prediction comes true? Nothing. People will remain SILENT, waiting for an opportunity when the astrologer goes wrong again!

It is sometimes funny that, astrology is the only area where 100 per cent perfection is expected. None will raise a point when a Corporate fails to reach its target with all those supposedly BIG brains from the IIMs, none will criticize the doctor (US return) when the patient dies unexpectedly, none will raise a finger when the exit polls formatted by our own Pranoy Roys goes for a toss!

Divine sciences like Astrology, Ayurveda etc are always under criticism that too MORE from Indians (the founders) themselves. No wonder Ayurveda has moved to the US and has flourished into a multi-million dollar industry!

Astrology as any other science cannot be 100 per cent perfect, and there are few areas where real research is required to attain perfection.

And as far as balls of steel are concerned, I would like to be listed with those astrologers who have come forward to predict real events taking criticism and failure as a stepping-stone towards SUCCESS!
