The power of number 9!

I was wondering what should I blog on today? Not that I am short of ideas, just that I am so much full that I am a bit confused which topic to select. Should I write about the missing missionary position in Vatsayana's Kama Sutra, or Indian techniques to enlarge your penis as discussed in KS, or give a jhankar version tips to woo the neighbourhood lady! Thought I will keep those topics for later, and would write something about the number 9! (No, I am not going discuss about eunuchs here. Incidentally they are referred as 9 in South India, and number 6 in North India for a simple reason that when 9 is put in reverse it looks 6 and vice versa. So, eunuchs are people who are neither 6 nor 9 somewhere in between. Both put together it is 69 oops that gives me idea for another blog :D )

Number 9 has unique characteristics and is considered to be a very important number in numerology. People born on 9th are considered very lucky (thank god I was born on 9th), and also people whose names start or end with letters R or/and I become famous one or other way. Now why R and I? 'I' happens to be the 9th letter in English alphabet and the letter 'R' happens to be the 18th letter, which when added (18 = 1+8) gives 9!

Also the number 9 is the only number when multiplied with any number gives a result, which when added again gives 9 again. Eg 9 x 4 = 36 - 3+6 = 9…..

In adding numbers like 57687649, ignore all 9s and also make other numbers 9 by borrowing from the neighbourhood number. For ex - normally we add - 5+7+6+8+7+6+4+9 = 52 = 5+2 = 7. Now ignore 9, borrow 5 from 6 convert 4 to 9 then ignore, borrow 4 from 7 make 5 as 9 ignore, borrow 3 from 7 and convert 6 to 9 ignore, add 1 to 8 it becomes 9 again so ignore so the reminder is number 7!

The table of 9 is the easiest to be calculated using your fingers on your hand. Keep your palms open facing your eyes.

Say 1 nine za, and fold your left hand thumb, and count the remaining fingers. It is 9.
Say 2 nine za, and fold your left hand index finger, and you will find 1 on the left side of the folded finders and 8 on right side which amounts to 18.
Say 3 nine za, and fold your left hand middle finger, and you will find 2 on the left side of the folded finger and 7 on the right side, which amounts to 27.
(Teach your kid this technique, and he will never forget the table of 9 in his life)

So on so forth…..

In astrology…

*Only 9 planets are considered important (Sun, Moon, Mars, Venus, Guru, Mercury, Shani, Rahu & Ketu. Sun and Moon aren't planets scientifically, but still considered to be planets and also Rahu and Ketu are nodes scientifically called Umbra and Penumbra)
*Any rudraksha or crystal mala has 108 beads, which counts to 1+0+8 = 9
*Any mantra has to be chanted in rounds of 9 - 54 or 108 or 1008 or 10008.
*There are exactly 108 famous and BIG Shiva temples across the country.

And for all those non-believers out there who feel Indian saints frittered away their time meditating and who think they are the smartest ass around and who don't take anything without enough scientific credentials, here is some revelation. The scientific periodic table of elements on which the whole science of Chemistry rests has 108 elements, out of which few elements are yet to be discovered!
