Confused thoughts on media, science & astrology!

My college HOD once said, “what you think or do today is decided by the 10 rich people from across the globe,” and that info came as a shock to me. That golden sentence opened my senses, and made me realize how much we are influenced and how much we are programmed by the society, so that we stop thinking originally.

My college HOD once said, “what you think or do today is decided by the 10 rich people from across the globe,” and that info came as a shock to me. That golden sentence opened my senses, and made me realize how much we are influenced and how much we are programmed by the society, so that we stop thinking originally.

What we carry today on our minds is yesterday’s garbage that is published in any newspaper. We think few major topics we imbibe from other media are knowledge needed to keep ourselves abreast in the society. If you notice there isn’t anything new that happens around us. Whatever is reported has been happening for ages just that the names and places keep changing. Here is the pattern of news in any Indian newspaper…

*A political turmoil
*An election
*A plane crash
*A train mishap
*Scams & scandals
*Budget
*Sports
*Veerappan
*Assassination & Death
….and these incidents keep repeating….

And also the irony of newspapers is how much ever the incidents of the world increase - some major draught or war or terrorism - the number of pages remains constant! End of the day they need to make enough ad revenues to run their publications.

It has been seen that the media is always anti-astrology, anti-godmen and subjects that they feel doesn’t have enough scientific evidence. Media aren’t supposed to support phenomenon that could make people think out of the box. That is one of the reasons why even issues concerning to UFOs are kept undercover.

We always tend to knock the wrong doors for the right info we need. In life, we don’t go to an eye-specialist if our bone is broken or we don’t consult a gynecologist if we have a headache. Hence, it is foolish to ask scientists to tell whether astrology, a subject based on Karma and Dharma, is true or not. It would be like asking a blind man to guide us through a new route.

Astrology is divine, and is driven by faith. And I am sure science’s doesn’t have any explanations for the concepts like God and Faith. Science surely will deny the presence of someone called Shiva who is blue in colour, who rules the Himalayas, who carries goddess Ganga on his head and has snake around his neck!

Astrology is a subject that has reached its peak long back while science still is toddling towards perfection.

I am not here to debate and prove the authenticity of astrology, but if you feel astrology is completely unscientific give me your details date, place and time (perfect details) and I will tell you ONE incident that took place in your life in the PAST and that too with the year (just one incident to keep freeloaders at bay).
