I want a peaceful life. I don't want violence. I want my children to be safe. I don't want any bloodshed. I am sure every individual on the planet thinks the same. And in spite of this ever-existing universal feeling the world's civilisation has had dreadful pasts. Wars exist even today, innocent people are dying even today and even today most of the country's money is channelled towards defence, if not attack! And believe it or not - a part of every tax payers' money is going towards country's ammunition - which means every countryman is supporting a war - directly or indirectly!
I have spent enough time in contemplating about why guns were invented, when the inventor surely knew the only purpose of it. Why millions of money is spent on manufacturing atom bombs, when we actually have seen them being dropped n Hiroshima and Nagasaki? (I always had a doubt - did the Americans ever compensated for the damage they did on Japan for their deliberate action? If not, then why are Indians creating so much of drama about Bhopal Gas Tragedy - which was an accident!).
Except for human beings, no other animal has a concept called 'injustice.' No tiger will ever be arrested for having killed an infant deer. No snake will ever be hanged for having swallowed a lame frog. And no hippo will ever be sentenced to rigorous imprisonment for killing his partner's new boyfriend.
If God was equal to everyone, then God would have created everyone equally strong that is physically, mentally, monetarily, economically, sociologically and biologically. The discrepancy exists, which proves beyond doubt that God has inculcated his own set of inequalities among people.
According to the rules of the jungle or Darwinism per say - it is survival of the fittest. Sounds good, scientifically. In that case a Pakistani 'pathan' is any day physically stronger than me, he surely can fight me and also win everything I possess. I have a choice to make here. I either fight back for justice or apply Darwin's theory to my life, and do nothing about my loss.
If peace is my concern, and if I don't want violence, and if I don't want to shed blood - I either can fight for justice in the court non-violently, and die a normal death before the verdict is passed OR I can fight back like a man. This time I cannot guarantee peace, non-violence and zero bloodshed. For justice to prevail in human kind - violence becomes the last resort and sometimes becomes the only resort.
If everyone treats everyone equally, and none suppresses the weaker ones or takes the other person for granted - a society will never need a police station or a court. Problems arise only when my neighbour thinks he is smarter than me, and builds his compound wall by occupying 2 square feet of my land!
People give speeches about global harmony, universal brotherhood, and ask people to stop wars without understanding why wars happen in the first place. Truth and Justice are two important fabrics on which the whole of human race sustain - and to make that prevail any number of killings and any number of wars are justified!
